Getting more active members

I've been thinking.. Alot of successfull clans charge each members $5 a month to keep them in the clan and have an age limit.. So here is what I've been thinking.. We will make an exception to our current members.. How about for new members we only allow 16+ and everyone must pay $3-5 a month minimum.. The money will go towards stuff for the clan.. This will get more active people because they are paying for it.. Right now I know we have a few people that are multi clanning.. Their names will be accounced.. This little charge is nothing, everyone can afford $3-5 a month.. What are your guys thoughts on this?

1. I dont have a job and i cant get one, the only money i get is bday money and some spare change around the house but thats it. That is JUST enought for me to be able to be around as i bike alot and need that spare change to get drinks and food...

2. the age limits are very anoying EVERY clan has it and its pissing me off:( as it will to many other people that are young you should give them a chance to show maturity atleast. And to add to that i have noticed people are afraid to give young kids leadership roles are care about their ideas. to every clan ive been it its always the same thing.

Coolcat remember you will be grandfathered in under the new policy so as a "legacy" member you won't have to pay and will not be restricted by age. On a personal note, while this would be nice by getting money into our funds, I can see this possibly diminishing our clan recruitment numbers. This being my first clan I'm a little wet behind the ears about other clan practices. I'm not exactly sure the "successful" clans got to that point by charging first or deciding to charge after they got a decent sized membership and if its the case that we can make this work with an entrance fee, than sure thing but if not, I'm a bit reluctant to sign off on the idea.

it would be nice to get money..but i think that should be more of an option..people can choose to do that..and if they choose to..gets them quick to being an admin..
but if they have to do the money thing..we wont get to much recruits..i still need help on knowing how to donate to EF..
still didnt help me out with that sky..u left in the middle of it.
but anyways..it sounds like a good idea and stuff.

I`m sitting in the middle of this and I guess would have to say "try it" and if it turns out too negative, reverse the decision. I have a GUT feeling it will be negative (unless we get real famous).
